Applying for the DO Program

Welcome to the Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine (Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»)!  Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³» has four campuses with one common Mission: to graduate community-focused, globally minded osteopathic physicians to meet the needs of rural and medically underserved populations and to improve human health.  This Mission is the heart and soul of Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³» and is shared by our students, faculty, and staff.   With four campuses, Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³» is now one of the largest medical schools in the country, yet each Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³» campus maintains the feeling of a small private college for the student. Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³» boasts great outcomes and has been recognized as a leading medical school in the U.S.  While Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³» has formed collaborative partnerships with other colleges and universities, the degree of Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine is granted and conferred solely by the Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine and is not affiliated with any of Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»â€™s affiliated colleges or universities including but not limited to Virginia Tech, Auburn University, or the University of Louisiana Monroe.

We are excited for you to learn about the admissions process at Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»!

Step-by-Step Guide to Applying

Four Campuses, One Application

Our academic curriculum and requirements are the same across each of our locations. As an applicant, you will submit one application to Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»'s central admissions department through AACOMAS, where you will have the option of specifying which campus you prefer. On your secondary application, you will be able to designate other Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³» campuses that you may be interested in. Each applicant will be reviewed by the campus of choice, however, if you have designated other campuses and one of those campuses wishes to interview you, you will be contacted.
